Position Summary
The Manufacturing Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring all manufactured components meet company quality standards before release to installation teams and customers. This role serves as the final quality checkpoint within manufacturing and has authority to approve, reject, or hold product from release when quality standards are not achieved.
This position performs detailed inspections of cabinetry, panels, drawers,
finishes, dimensions, assembly accuracy, packaging, and overall workmanship across custom storage and organization products.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently while maintaining urgency, accountability, and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality.
Essential Responsibilities
Product Inspection & Quality Control
· Inspect manufactured components for closets, garages, offices, laundry rooms, and specialty spaces before shipment or installation.
· Verify components meet approved drawings, specifications, and company standards.
· Inspect dimensions, drilling patterns, edge banding, finish quality, hardware preparation, and workmanship.
· Confirm orders are complete and installation-ready.
Product Inspection & Quality Control
· Inspect manufactured components for closets, garages, offices, laundry rooms, and specialty spaces before shipment or installation.
· Verify components meet approved drawings, specifications, and company standards.
· Inspect dimensions, drilling patterns, edge banding, finish quality, hardware preparation, and workmanship.
· Confirm orders are complete and installation-ready.
Release Authority (Quality Gatekeeper)
· Serve as the final approval authority before product is released to installation teams.
· Approve, reject, or place orders on quality hold when standards are not achieved.
· Stop release of incomplete, damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming product.
· Partner with Manufacturing, CAD, Scheduling, and Installation teams to resolve issues prior to departure.
· Document release decisions and communicate corrective actions.
· Maintain objective standards and protect installer productivity and customer experience.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
· Track defects and recurring issues.
· Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
· Recommend process improvements that reduce remakes and field service.
· Serve as the final approval authority before product is released to installation teams.
· Approve, reject, or place orders on quality hold when standards are not achieved.
· Stop release of incomplete, damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming product.
· Partner with Manufacturing, CAD, Scheduling, and Installation teams to resolve issues prior to departure.

Compensation
Hourly Range:
· $19 - $21/hour
Performance Bonus:
Target bonus opportunity of $300 Maximum per pay period, based on:

Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
